| What a considerably warm weekend it was despite the fact that we're already a week into Autumn. I've been taking an unofficial poll amongst friends, asking them if they're happy about the changes in weather, start of the presidential debates, nearing of the holidays, return of boot season, etc. For me, honestly, I'm a little tired of the warm weather (am I the only one?) and definitely ready for a change in pace. I can't wait for it to start raining and become colder and brisk outside. (Did you hear that polar bears are beginning to cannabalize each other? I also hope researchers hurry up and find alternative ways to combat global warming!) And on a different note: yes, the beginning of October also signals the beginning of MLB post-season. Funny, work and my traveling scheduling has been somewhat crazy this spring/summer... so I think I attended more Giants games than A's games. (Mainly due to hook-ups.. since I wouldn't pay to see a game at AT&T regardless of the fries, slide or... haha). Sadly, the A's are done. As a tribute to their efforts this season: http://oakland.athletics.mlb.com/multimedia/tp_archive.jsp?c_id=oak&partnerId=ed-2048072-55419865&source=ed-2048072-55419865 So I hope the remaining teams just hurry up, away the rally monkies, and fill the scoreboard with sweeps every week. Wouldn't it be great to have shut-outs all day, every day? The post-season hopefuls for 2008 are for the AL: Rays, Red Sox, Twins, LAA; and NL: Phillies, Cubbies, Brewers, Dodgers. My predictions are: LAA vs. the Cubbies in the finals with LAA winning it all. Haha, we'll see if how well this sticks or not. Anyhow, happy fall everyone. The next three months are going to be exciting! |
